Nationalsozialismus in Rosenheim - Stadtführung zur Entstehungsgeschichte

Rosenheim was Hitler´s incubator. As early as 1920 he held nine speeches here. After Munich, Rosenheim was second founding of a local partygroup. In 1893 Hermann Göring had been born at Rosenheim, Hitler´s deputy, and it was Rosenheim where the first burning of books took place three days before the rest of Nazi-Germany did the same. At Stephanskirchen, next city nearby, there was the hiding place of the weapons that were used for the walk towards the Feldherrnhalle, Hitler´s first uprising on November 9th 1923. We hear about catholic resistance, of Maria Berchtenbreiter, a female poet from Rosenheim, that made here admiring poems for Hitler and published them at Rosenheim. Also we hear about the murder of a whistleblowers of the SA, who had a friend at Rosenheim, that gave the actual address to the SS, Near Rosenheim lived the jewish girl Elisbeth Block, who had written a diary like Anne Frank and also died at a concentration camp. I give you background information about the so called Röhmputsch, the made up uprising of the SA against Hitler on June 30th 1934. This is the first guided tour through Rosenheim. The union of city guides doesn´t like this story to be told but offer a tour about Jewish live at Rosenheim once per year, which you should also consider.
